Applications for the DETROIT JATC APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING PROGRAM will be available from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM on the first working MONDAY of each month at the Training Facility (see map).

INSIDE CONSTRUCTION
This is a FIVE (5) year program that will require the apprentice to attend classes at the Training Center one day every other week. Each school day is for eight hours. The apprentice will be employed by a signatory contractor doing electrical construction work. The apprentice will be paid a percentage of the journeyman wage rate and will receive periodic wage increases as they meet the program requirements.
TELE-COMMUNICATIONS
This is a THREE (3) year program that will require the apprentice to attend classes at the Training Center one day every other week. Each school day is for eight hours. The apprentice will be employed by a signatory contractor doing tele-communication work.
Basic Requirements
- Must be a high school graduate or have a GED certificate.
- Must have completed one year of high school or post high school algebra (no GED math scores will be accepted).
- Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
